Our process
Our recycling system employs a heat extrusion process that breaks down polyester textiles into RPET pellets. These pellets are versatile; they can be spun back into polyester fibres for textile production or used in injection moulding applications to create various products. This technology streamlines the conversion of waste textiles into usable materials, contributing to the circular economy by reducing waste and promoting resource efficiency.
We believe in the power of textile-to-textile recycling to create a truly circular economy. Traditional recycled polyester is often sourced from plastic bottles that are already part of a closed-loop circular system. Diverting these bottles to make clothing, which has a high possibility of eventually ending up in landfill, is not a sustainable solution. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of tonnes of textiles are discarded in landfills, even though a portion can be recycled into rPET granules for textile yarn.
